CEO and Founder
Steve has 20 years of experience working in a variety of project implementation and business development roles. Moving to Singapore in 2012 Steve was tasked with setting up the Asia Pacific operations of a technology company as the first employee in the region. After experiencing the challenges of doing this firsthand, in 2016, he set up Asia Market Entry, with a vision of creating a company focused on helping international technology companies build a footprint in the Asia Pacific region without having to set up locally themselves.
Vishmi De Silva
Director of Government Relations & Strategic Partnerships
Vishmi has been based in Singapore for over 12 years, primarily working with SMEs, multinationals and Government organisations who are scaling their presence across the Asia region. In 2010 she co-founded ‘Stepping Stone’, an APAC-focused advisory and investment business for service and tech companies. Prior to joining Asia Market Entry, Vishmi was Singapore Trade Director for Victorian Government Trade & Investment. Vishmi has a unique mix of skills across public and private sector.
Based in Singapore, Anthony is a business designer, software engineer and entrepreneur. He has an accomplished venture building background of 20 years in service design, digital product development, e-commerce, and occupational health. Most recently, he served as design and program lead for APAC partner platforms in the multi-billion dollar fintech sector. Prior to that, he was a co-founder of a global leader in mobile marketing applications, which was acquired twice by both Microsoft in Australia and later, Merkle (Dentsu) in the US.
Business Development Advisor
Through her background in the international education sector, Lucinda has several years’ experience working in Asian markets. Lucinda has also worked in business-to-business marketing, helping some of Singapore’s most iconic brands with digital, content and creative marketing strategy. At Asia Market Entry, she helps clients successfully build their businesses in the Asia Pacific region. She holds a Masters in International Trade & Diplomacy.
Business Development Advisor - Vietnam
Erik is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and has over 15 years experience in business development, trade policy and government relations. Prior to working with Asia Market Entry, Erik served as director of APAC sales for an American software firm with over 300 employees in Asia. Previously he lived and worked in Seattle and Washington, DC USA. He holds a Master's degree in International Business.
Si Han Lang
Si Han is currently studying at the National University of Singapore, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Prior to working at Asia Market Entry, Si Han worked for a start-up which attained unicorn status. She was recently elected Vice Director of External Affairs in her residential college. In addition to her studies, Si Han enjoys connecting people and facilitating the spread of knowledge, particularly between college alumni and fellow students.
Sophia is an undergraduate at the National University of Singapore. She is currently pursuing a double degree in Business and Economics with a specialisation in Applied and Policy Economics. Having an interest in global developments, Sophia previously interned at the Ministry of Trade and Industry. She is currently the product operations manager at AIESEC, a non-profit organisation where she facilitates the leadership development and cross-cultural understanding of youths.
Business Development Advisor
Now based in Singapore, Glenn has spent his early career living and working in multiple countries across the Asia Pacific, to develop and build strategic partnerships for companies seeking to invest in start-up technology. Prior to working with Asia Market Entry, Glenn served as a Business Development Director for a Singapore biotech firm operating in Thailand, Australia, Indonesia, China and Philippines. He assisted with the patent of one of the most advanced cellular biotechnologies in the world and graduated with a bachelor’s in economics & Finance from RMIT in Melbourne, Australia. Glenn speaks a multitude of languages including English, Mandarin and Hokkien.
Senior Business Advisor - Australia
Brett is an experienced sales, sales operations & management professional with more than 10 years of experience in the technology & unified communications sector, as well as 8 years in hospitality & tourism management. With experience working in Asia, Europe & North America, Brett has a diversified skill-set covering multinational collaboration, go-to-market planning & execution, channel & vendor management, solution sales, & customer success.
Business Development - Taiwan
Simon is based in Taipei, Taiwan and can speak fluent English and Mandarin. Simon has more than 10 years business development, sales operations & management experience in the life science industry. Previous to joining Asia Market Entry, Simon helped a range of businesses to expand their operations in China, Taiwan, Hongkong, Singapore, and Malaysia. In the past 7 years, he has mainly focused on software businesses in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, including R&D, Quality and Manufacturing sectors.
Gabe has been extremely passionate about health and technology for more than 20 years. Based in Christchurch, New Zealand, Gabe was previously Senior Director of Health & Social Services for Asia at Microsoft. In this role his responsibilities included leading and defining the solution offerings and strategy for meeting the needs of healthcare consumers across Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, India, Greater China and Japan. Before this role Gabe spent 4 years as the Healthcare Industry Director for Microsoft Asia Pacific.
Business Partner - Australia
John is an experienced business person having spent a large part of his career in the media and communications sector.
In 2001 John set up media agency Carat in Melbourne in a joint venture with Aegis Plc (now Dentsu Aegis).
The business quickly became a leading player in the market and after 4 years had grown to a company turning over $130m in capitalized billings. It had a blue -chip list of clients including Nintendo, Cadbury Schweppes, Adidas, and Fonterra.
Business Partner - Vietnam
Richard is a veteran in the Global Marketing business with experience spanning over 30 years with multiple top-tier MNCs and FMCG firms such as Coca-Cola, Unilever and Nestle where he specialises in the area of global distribution and marketing. His past roles and experiences have also steered him to help build multiple startups and brands in key Asian markets most notably in India and China that have since established themselves with high performing team members.
Business Partner - Vietnam
James is the former Group COO of the Crystal Jade Group, Division CEO of BreadTalk Group as well as the Country CEO for China and ASEAN. He brings a wealth of experience of over 30 years in the F&B Industry and managing regional brands in more than 18 countries. Prior to this he was a lecturer at McDonald’s Corporate University in Illinois providing management training to junior and middle level management staff. He is currently the Co-Founder and Partner of CVI Corporation, a specialist in the Quality Industry.
